Fiance Visas

• Fiance Visa is available to the fiancé of a US citizen, who wishes to come to United States for purposes or marriage.
• The visa may only be obtained at the consulate. It is a two step process, which normally starts in the United States and is finalized at the consulate in the beneficiary’s country of nationality or country of residence.
• In order to qualify for this visa, the petitioner and beneficiary have to meet the following requirements:
  1. the petitioner has to be a US citizen,
  2. the petitioner and the beneficiary have met at least once in the past 2 years (unless exception exists),
  3. the couple intends to get married within 90 days upon beneficiary’s arrival to the US.
• When in the US, if the petitioner and beneficiary do not get married within 90 days, the beneficiary’s visa will be revoked automatically and the beneficiary will have to depart United States.
